#003 Social Distancing

I’ve cashed in on Social Distancing for this strip. If you don’t understand what the Potato has to do with it see the previous comic strip.

Note: I have rehashed my drawing of the Devils because I decided to stick with a more simpler format. The first 2 strips have been redrawn & replaced. My original idea was to loosely base them on the shape of Tasmania but I didn’t really like the way they looked.  No doubt the more strips I draw the more uniform their shape will become (hopefully).

Blog #01 My Sketchbook Upgrade

I’ve been drawing for a long time with a regular sketchbook, pencils & fine-liner pens. Last week however I bought myself a present…

It’s an XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro & I love it. It sure makes drawing & colouring my comics a lot easier & faster.

I had a Wacom tablet some years ago but it didn’t have a screen to draw on. I simply couldn’t coordinate drawing on a separate surface from what I was looking at on my laptop screen.

A tablet with a draw on screen makes the process so simple

#002 Tumour

Devil Facial Tumour Disease is a serious threat to our Tasmanian Devil population. A lot of research & work is being accomplished to try to rid them of this problem.

#001 Tasmanian Devils Plight

Tasmanian Devils have a reputation for being cranky & easily upset. They also tend to bicker & fight a lot so I’ve tried to reflect that in my comics.

Here’s a couple of real Tasmanian Devils that I photographed at Tasmania Zoo when we visited there in December.
